Sofa Stitch
Because you pay cash on delivery, the best moment to decide is at your door — but you're also protected after that. Here's exactly how returns work.
Last updated: 21 September 2026
Every order is cash on delivery, so you can inspect your sofa before you pay a penny. If anything isn't right — the wrong item, visible damage, or you've simply changed your mind — you can decline it at the door and pay nothing. This is the quickest, easiest outcome for everyone, so please do check your order on arrival.
For standard (non-custom) sofas, you have the right to cancel your order for any reason within 14 days of receiving it, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. You then have a further 14 days to return the item to us.
To use this right, the sofa must be unused and in the same condition you received it (see Condition of returned items). For change-of-mind returns, you are responsible for arranging and paying the cost of returning the item to us, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Separately from the above, everything we sell is covered by the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If your sofa is faulty, damaged, or not as described:
For faulty or damaged items, we cover the cost of collection or return — you won't pay to send it back.
Message us on WhatsApp with your name, order details, and — if the item is faulty or damaged — clear photos. We'll confirm whether your item qualifies and arrange the next steps, usually within 24 hours.
To be accepted for a change-of-mind return, the sofa must be:
We may reduce your refund to reflect any loss in value caused by handling beyond what's needed to inspect the item, as permitted by law.
Once we receive the returned sofa and confirm its condition, we'll issue your refund by bank transfer within 14 days. Because orders are paid in cash on delivery, please have your bank details ready so we can return your money quickly. If you declined the item at the door and paid nothing, there's nothing to refund.
